A GRAND PIANO! Just the sound of it makes visions of superior music come alive. This square
grand was built by the Emerson Piano Company of Boston sometime between 1850 and 1870. It has been owned by several
families in the north central part of Indiana for many years. The corresponding story that has gone with this particular
instrument is that it was brought to this part of Indiana by river boat and then by a horse-drawn wagon.
Many of the keys do not work due to it being moved a number of times causing many of the internal hammers
to have fallen out of place. I've shown one picture where someone carelessly placed a vase on it and stained the finish.
Otherwise the exterior of the piano is remarkably nice despite its 140-160 years. It is extremely heavy so unless
you can bring four (4) really strong men with you, a piano moving company is strongly recommended.
It is a fine musical piece of extraordinary workmanship. As an antique instrument, it will certainly
make your parlor the most interesting place in town!
$1250.00 unrestored OBO!!
Many thanks!
